San Francisco Jet Charter arranges flights to sporting events for fans, sponsors and corporate groups traveling out of the Bay Area, whether that is a single game across the country or a tournament abroad.
Why fans charter
Big games create a demand spike that commercial schedules were never built for. Flights fill, fares climb, and the return the morning after a night game rarely exists. A charter leaves when your group is ready to leave, which on a one-night trip is usually the whole point.
For a group of six to ten, your advisor will price one aircraft for the whole party on your dates.
Getting close to the venue
Landing near the stadium beats landing at the biggest airport nearby. If you provide us with the venue information rather than the airport, we can get you closest to your final destination, and that often means a smaller field with a shorter drive at the far end.
The same works in reverse coming home. Bay Area groups return into whichever field suits, and that is worth planning because most of the region’s smaller airports close their towers in the evening. Only San Francisco and Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport are towered around the clock, so a late-night arrival after a game usually routes through one of those two.
Traveling abroad
For events overseas, landing permits and customs authorizations form part of the arrangements. Permits are generally applied for after a trip has been secured on the aircraft schedule, and sometimes the timeline is dictated by the local airport authorities. Book early where the date is fixed, which for a sporting event it always is.
On the Northern California end, only San Francisco, Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport, San Jose and Monterey Regional are customs airports.

Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
San Francisco-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
Tower hours determine the trips more than anything else. Only San Francisco International and Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport are towered around the clock; Hayward Executive closes in the late afternoon, and Livermore runs weekday daytime hours with a short window on weekends. For an early departure or a late return, that difference decides the airport. Customs is narrow in this region too, with San Francisco, Oakland, Mineta San Jose and Monterey Regional the fields that clear international arrivals. Trips into the Sierra are their own case, where elevation and terrain shape the aircraft choice more than the distance does.
