San Francisco Jet Charter arranges flights for artists, crews and festival-goers traveling to and from Northern California, a region with a dense summer and autumn festival calendar.
Touring parties
A tour runs to a routing that no airline flies. Dates are fixed, the gaps between them are short, and the party includes people and equipment in roughly equal measure. Charter exists for exactly this: leave after the show, arrive in the next city overnight, and keep the band and the crew together.
Equipment is usually what decides the aircraft. Instruments, staging and production gear take volume rather than seats, so send us the load details with the passenger count. Where the equipment moves separately from the people, a cargo charter is often the cleaner arrangement.
Larger parties
A full touring party with crew frequently runs past nineteen passengers, at which point the trip calls for an airliner-size aircraft operating under FAR Part 121 or a foreign equivalent rather than Part 135. That is routine work, but it changes the lead time, so the earlier we have the headcount the better.
Going to the festival rather than playing it
For audiences, the appeal is avoiding the rush at both ends of a festival weekend. Ground traffic around a large event is its own problem, and landing closer to the site rather than at the region’s biggest airport takes a significant amount of time out of the day.
Tell us the venue rather than the airport and we will work out which field puts you nearest.
Privacy
Passenger details and itineraries are shared only on a strict need-to-know basis, with the operator and the crew assigned to the flight. Call an advisor at +1-888-987-5387.
Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
San Francisco-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
Tower hours determine the trips more than anything else. Only San Francisco International and Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport are towered around the clock; Hayward Executive closes in the late afternoon, and Livermore runs weekday daytime hours with a short window on weekends. For an early departure or a late return, that difference decides the airport. Customs is narrow in this region too, with San Francisco, Oakland, Mineta San Jose and Monterey Regional the fields that clear international arrivals. Trips into the Sierra are their own case, where elevation and terrain shape the aircraft choice more than the distance does.
