San Francisco Jet Charter provides supplemental lift for corporate flight departments around the Bay Area, for the weeks when the aircraft is down or the mission does not fit the fleet.
When flight managers call us
Scheduled maintenance, and the aircraft is out for two weeks. An unscheduled mechanical with executives already out of position. Two trips on the same day and one aircraft. A mission that needs more range, more seats or more baggage than the airplane on the ramp. Any of those, and the choice is to cancel, fly commercial, or find a lift.
We can usually arrange a flight in as little as four to six hours. Most of these calls come in early in the morning and need an answer the same day.
What you are outsourcing
Sourcing supplemental lift properly is a job in itself: finding the aircraft, confirming the operator holds a current FAR Part 135 certificate, checking the safety and incident history, confirming the crew are qualified and current on the type of aircraft you will be flying on, confirming insurance, then getting the whole thing through procurement, finance and legal. That is the part we take off your desk.
We are not an operator. We do not own aircraft. We arrange flights with certified carriers as your agent, which means our interest is in the quote you get rather than in filling a particular airplane.
Fractional and jet card owners
The same applies if you are on a fractional program or a card. Chartering outside the program for the trips that suit it can leave your program hours for the flights where they are worth more. It is worth running the numbers on a per-trip basis rather than assuming the program is always the cheaper answer.
Set it up before you need it
The best time to have this conversation is not the morning the aircraft becomes unavailable. If you run a flight department in the Bay Area, call us at +1-888-987-5387 and we will get the account set up so the first request is a phone call rather than a procurement exercise.
Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
San Francisco-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
Tower hours determine the trips more than anything else. Only San Francisco International and Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport are towered around the clock; Hayward Executive closes in the late afternoon, and Livermore runs weekday daytime hours with a short window on weekends. For an early departure or a late return, that difference decides the airport. Customs is narrow in this region too, with San Francisco, Oakland, Mineta San Jose and Monterey Regional the fields that clear international arrivals. Trips into the Sierra are their own case, where elevation and terrain shape the aircraft choice more than the distance does.
