Fashions Show Events

San Francisco Jet Charter arranges flights to fashion weeks and industry events for designers, buyers, models and guests traveling from Northern California.

A calendar that does not wait

The fashion calendar runs to fixed weeks in a handful of cities, and the people traveling for it are normally needed in multiple cities within a few days. Commercial schedules rarely line up with that, particularly at the end of a show day. Charter travels on the schedule the week actually demands.

Collections travel with you

Garment volume is the constraint that people often forget about or do not consider. A collection travels in boxes and rails that take up far more room than the passenger count suggests, and on a smaller aircraft that competes directly with the seats. Tell us what is coming when you send the dates, including the number of pieces and how they are packed, and your advisor will size the aircraft for the whole load.

Where a collection moves separately from the team, a cargo charter is often the better answer.

International legs

Most of the calendar is abroad, so landing permits and customs authorizations form part of the arrangements. Permits are generally applied for after a trip has been secured on the aircraft schedule, and sometimes the timeline is dictated by the local airport authorities.

On the Northern California end, only San Francisco, Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport, San Jose and Monterey Regional are customs airports, so an international departure runs through one of those four. If a collection is traveling with you, flag it early, because customs handling for commercial goods is a different conversation from personal baggage.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

San Francisco-Specific Patterns We Plan Around

Tower hours determine the trips more than anything else. Only San Francisco International and Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport are towered around the clock; Hayward Executive closes in the late afternoon, and Livermore runs weekday daytime hours with a short window on weekends. For an early departure or a late return, that difference decides the airport. Customs is narrow in this region too, with San Francisco, Oakland, Mineta San Jose and Monterey Regional the fields that clear international arrivals. Trips into the Sierra are their own case, where elevation and terrain shape the aircraft choice more than the distance does.
