San Francisco Jet Charter arranges business travel for companies across the Bay Area, and the reason clients call is almost always the same: the meeting is fixed and the airline schedule is not.
Why charter earns its place on a business trip
You leave when the team is ready rather than when a published schedule says so. You can work on board without an audience. And you can run an itinerary that commercial service simply cannot, such as three cities in a day and home the same night. For a group of four or five executives, that last point is usually where the economics start to make sense.
The Bay Area helps here, because you are not tied to one airport. A team in Walnut Creek or Danville starts from Buchanan Field in Concord (KCCR). Tri-Valley clients use Livermore Municipal (KLVK). The peninsula and South Bay use Mineta San Jose International (KSJC) or Hayward Executive (KHWD). Starting from the field nearest your office often saves more time than the flight itself does.
What we need from you
The route, the dates, how many are traveling, and anything with a hard time on it. If there is a dinner you cannot miss or a board meeting that starts at nine, say so, and we will plan the day backward from it. If you provide us with the venue information rather than the airport, we can get you closest to your final destination.
Groups, and where the rules change
Most business trips fit a light, midsize or heavy jet. Once the group runs past nineteen passengers the trip calls for an airliner-size aircraft, and it no longer falls under FAR Part 135. Those flights operate under FAR Part 121 or a foreign equivalent, which generally carries stricter crew and operating requirements than both Part 91 and Part 135. Tell us the headcount early and we will tell you which set of rules applies.
Recurring travel
If your company flies the same routes regularly, say so at the outset. Knowing the pattern lets us plan around them rather than pricing each trip from scratch. Reach an advisor at +1-888-987-5387, or read our frequently asked questions.
Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
San Francisco-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
Tower hours determine the trips more than anything else. Only San Francisco International and Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport are towered around the clock; Hayward Executive closes in the late afternoon, and Livermore runs weekday daytime hours with a short window on weekends. For an early departure or a late return, that difference decides the airport. Customs is narrow in this region too, with San Francisco, Oakland, Mineta San Jose and Monterey Regional the fields that clear international arrivals. Trips into the Sierra are their own case, where elevation and terrain shape the aircraft choice more than the distance does.
