San Francisco Jet Charter arranges group flights for bachelor and bachelorette weekends leaving the Bay Area, and the shortlist of destinations is fairly predictable: Las Vegas, Southern California, Scottsdale, and wine country closer to home.
Everyone arrives together
The hardest part of organizing one of these is usually the travel, because a dozen people booking their own flights produces a dozen arrival times. One aircraft solves that. The group leaves together, lands together, and the weekend starts at the same moment for everybody.
Getting the headcount right
Give us the realistic number rather than the hopeful one. The passenger count determines the appropriate aircraft, and a party that grows from ten to sixteen after booking may not fit the aircraft that was quoted. Past nineteen passengers the trip moves to an airliner-size aircraft under FAR Part 121 or a foreign equivalent rather than Part 135.
Luggage, and what else is coming
Weekend groups travel heavier than they think, especially where golf clubs, ski equipment or a case of wine are involved. Baggage volume competes directly with seats on smaller aircraft, so tell us what is traveling when you give us the headcount.
The late return
Sunday returns tend to slide, and that is easier to accommodate than a commercial ticket would be. It is still worth knowing that most Bay Area fields close their towers in the evening. Only San Francisco and Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport are towered around the clock.

Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
San Francisco-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
Tower hours determine the trips more than anything else. Only San Francisco International and Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport are towered around the clock; Hayward Executive closes in the late afternoon, and Livermore runs weekday daytime hours with a short window on weekends. For an early departure or a late return, that difference decides the airport. Customs is narrow in this region too, with San Francisco, Oakland, Mineta San Jose and Monterey Regional the fields that clear international arrivals. Trips into the Sierra are their own case, where elevation and terrain shape the aircraft choice more than the distance does.
