Bodyguard Security & Armored Transportation

Security detail escorting a client to a private aircraft

San Francisco Jet Charter arranges flights for clients traveling with security, and can coordinate protective ground transport at both ends of the trip in the Bay Area and at the destination.

The ground is usually the exposed part

Flying privately already removes the public terminal from the day. The arrival and departure by road are what usually need planning, and that is where a security detail and armored transport come in. We can arrange vehicles to meet the aircraft and coordinate with your own team or a provider at the destination.

Count the whole party

Security staff are passengers too, and an entourage of four changes which aircraft fits. Give us the full traveling party rather than the principal count, including any equipment being carried, since some of it affects which operators will take the booking. Above nineteen passengers the flight operates under FAR Part 121 or a foreign equivalent rather than FAR Part 135.

Information handling

Passenger details and itineraries are shared only on a strict need-to-know basis, with the operator and the crew assigned to your flight. Where a trip is sensitive, tell us at the first call rather than once it is booked, so the arrangements are handled appropriately from the start.

Airport choice

San Francisco International carries the most traffic and the most attention. Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport and Mineta San Jose International both handle this work routinely, and the region’s smaller fields are quieter again, subject to tower hours.

International travel

Rules on armed personnel and equipment vary sharply between countries and are not something to assume. Raise it early and we will confirm what the operator and the destination will allow.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

San Francisco-Specific Patterns We Plan Around

Tower hours determine the trips more than anything else. Only San Francisco International and Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport are towered around the clock; Hayward Executive closes in the late afternoon, and Livermore runs weekday daytime hours with a short window on weekends. For an early departure or a late return, that difference decides the airport. Customs is narrow in this region too, with San Francisco, Oakland, Mineta San Jose and Monterey Regional the fields that clear international arrivals. Trips into the Sierra are their own case, where elevation and terrain shape the aircraft choice more than the distance does.
