Where do private jets land in San Francisco, CA?

Most business jets prefer using Oakland International or San Jose International due to reduced landing & operational fees compared to SFO. Other airports that are popular with private jets include Hayward Executive, Buchanan Field, and Livermore Municipal.

(KSFO, SFO) San Francisco International Airport – San Francisco, CA

San Francisco International Airport (IATA: SFO, ICAO: KSFO, FAA LID: SFO) – located 13 miles S of Downtown. The city’s main airport is open 24 hours and suitable for private flights with 4 runways capable of handling private jets. However, air taxi & general aviation accounts for only around 10% of all traffic at SFO. Corporate and luxury passengers can bypass the main terminals via the Signature Flight FBO, a private terminal located on the north side of the airport on N Access Rd just south of the Coast Guard Station.

(KOAK, OAK) Oakland International Airport – Oakland, CA

Oakland International Airport (IATA: OAK, ICAO: KOAK, FAA LID: OAK) – located 10 miles S of Oakland and 20 miles ESE of San Francisco on the opposite side of the Bay. Oakland’s Airport is a preferred option for business jets, with 3 runways to handle any size aircraft and another to handle light aircraft, as well as 2 FBO providers located on the north side of the airport along Earhart Road.

(KSJC, SJC) San Jose International Airport – San Jose, CA

Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport (IATA: SJC, ICAO: KSJC, FAA LID: SJC) – located three miles NW of Downtown San Jose near U.S. Route 101, Interstate 880, and State Route 87, and 33 miles SE of San Francisco on the south side of the Bay.
